The Client as Hero: New Stories for a New Day

Thursday, May 14, 2020
4:00 PM - 5:45 PM

Please join the Washington Network Group (WNG) when we meet online with the principals of Potterfield Kelly Consulting, Kate Potterfield and Mark Kelly, who will discuss the new rules for telling your brand’s story during and after crisis.

Mark Kelly & Kate Potterfield

Potterfield Kelly Consulting specializes in spoken-word strategy for organizations seeking to advance their brands through the powerful emotional connections that stories create with clients. Particularly in times of crisis—when the day-to-day functions of your business are disrupted—storytelling connects your customers emotionally to the heart and soul of your organization. Stories affirm your values and build community, remind your clients about what they value in their relationship with your brand, and inspire allegiance and commitment.

Through presentation, group discussion, and a workshop exercise, Mark Kelly and Kate Potterfield will take you through the elements of a good business story, how to mine the right stories for your brand, and how to leverage them to advance your business. Participants are asked to bring their own ideas for stories to get the most out of this practical webinar.

Takeaways:

1. How to discover your brand’s authentic stories, and when and why to tell them;
2. The art of creating and resolving conflict in storytelling;
3. Seven stories you absolutely want to tell;
4. Adapting stories across your earned, owned, paid, and shared media; and
5. A compelling story for your business.
