Jason Levergood serves on the WNG Board of Advisors, the WNG International Steering Committee and the WNG Government Roundtable Steering Committee.

On behalf of Grant Thornton International, Jason is the Global Advisory Service Line Manager in support of Grant Thornton member firms in over 100 countries. Headquartered in Washington DC, Jason is chiefly responsible for global member firm capacity building support and developing and implementing the public sector global strategy. His role also includes international marketing and member firm public relations and the development and implementation of internal infrastructure-strengthening projects as well as assisting with the leadership of all aspects of business planning, business development and engagement management. Jason has traveled to over 50 countries in the 8+ years that he been with Grant Thornton providing workshops and trainings, merger support, local government and development partner client meeting representation on behalf of GTI. Jason is also an International Director with Grant Thornton LLP, Global Public Sector (located in Alexandria, VA) leading the International Practice. Jason is a founding member of the practice and the Process Owner for the identification, validation and pursuit of new international project opportunities. Jason’s consulting expertise is focused on the global public sector market which includes: agencies/ministries, major donors/bi-lateral and multilateral international development organizations and global partners like the World Bank Group, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), United Nations (UN), The Global Fund, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), European Commission (EC), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Department for International Development (DFID), to name a few. Jason is also the ICGFM (International Consortium on Governmental Financial Management) VP of Sponsorships and Grants in addition to serving on the ICGFM Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Nominations Committee, and Conference Planning Committee and leads the annual ICGFM worldwide Global Financial Managers survey.

Jason began his + 20 year international career working for various non-for-profit organizations in the education sector prior to working for consultancies like Mercatela, Fujitsu Consulting and Grant Thornton. He spent six years combined in China and Japan and is proficient in both Mandarin and Japanese with basic knowledge of Russian and Spanish. In addition to consulting and international business development, Jason has significant experience in managing cultural exchange programs, translating, teaching and delivering linguistic immersion-based business presentations, facilitating workshops and delivering professional performances. Jason has designed and implemented original ESL programs with students and professionals from around the world. He has also authored manuals, designed and implemented training programs for end users on various IT systems.
