What Does Inclusive Leadership Look Like?

Wednesday, April 7, 2021
4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Please join the WNG when we meet with Larry Naylor and Kate Neville, co-founders of Inclusive Leadership Strategies, who will discuss what Inclusive Leadership looks like.

About Our Topic:

In the midst of changing demographics, societal trends, and growing awareness of our nation’s history, taking steps to become truly inclusive can present a challenge to long-established practices. Something different is needed in order to produce real change.

Developing a diverse and inclusive organization is not a logic problem or simply a stand-alone training issue. Leadership is key. Leaders may understand that their silence is no longer acceptable but do not feel they know how to develop inclusive work environments. What it means to “do the work” is not self-evident.

This session will present tools to help increase awareness, model inclusive communication, and demonstrate a range of ways leaders can “show up” in relation to DEI issues, moving from good intentions to having a positive impact.
