Strategies for Minimizing Your Time in Transition
40Plus of Greater Washington presents:
“Strategies for Minimizing Your Time in Transition -- with John Wilhelm, Jr.”
John, a licensed CPA in Virginia since 1993, has spent the majority of his career developing tax planning software. He is a 2016 graduate of our Career Transition Skills Training Class and has been a 40 Plus facilitator for the past 3 years. His areas of specialty are the 30-second tell-me-about-yourself (TMAY), job search plans, and challenging interview questions.
John will share details about his own job searches. The lessons he learned, combined with his experiences in financial advising, software development, and coaching, will be a memorable way to gain insightful and effective job search tips.
Expect a lot of audience participation, a little humor, and a plethora of useful information!
Discussion Questions will include, but not be limited to…
- What are the major challenges you face when searching for a job?
- How should you determine and prioritize your job search tasks?
