Let’s Get Political: Trends, Crisis & Advocacy

AAF DC - American Advertising Federation DC Chapter presents:

"Let’s Get Political: Trends, Crisis & Advocacy"

Living in the nation’s capital means front row seats to everything political. From new policies to new government officials, there’s a new face of politics every day.

So how do we as communicators keep up with best practices for political advertising, crisis communications, and advocacy?

This is the burning question we’ll be answering at our next event, Let’s Get Political: Trends, Crisis & Advocacy, co-hosted with American Marketing Association’s young professionals group, District Current. With the election coming upon us in one year, it’s time to start talking about political advertising and how we as communicators play an important role in this area. Whether your background is in politics or not, there is something for everyone in the communications field to learn at this discussion.

Our event will be led by expert panelists who will speak to current trends in political advertising, crisis communications, and advocacy communications and marketing:

• Jesse Contario: Director, Political and Advocacy at MiQ
• Janet Goss: Partner at GMMB
• Maïca Pichler: Advertising and Nonprofit Strategy Director at Veracity Media
