Please join the Washington Network Group when we meet with Rebecca Cassidy, founder and director of Seva Yoga, who will discuss with us "Leading from Within: Using Mindfulness to Become a Better Leader."

Think of the best managers, bosses, and leaders you have in your life. Chances are, they all had similar characteristics: good listeners, self-aware, empathetic, decisive and perhaps a bit fearless. And chances are, they were mindful leaders as well, perhaps developed through a meditation practice. In this session we will discuss what mindfulness is, how it is a skill we can develop, and how working on our mindfulness can help us become the leaders we strive to be both in the workplace and in our home lives. You'll come away with specific techniques you can use starting today to help you become a better leader.
About Our Speaker:
Rebecca Cassidy is the founder and director of Seva Yoga, which has a mission to bring meditation, mindfulness and yoga to ALL communities in the Washington, D.C. area, regardless of the ability to pay. The organization offers workplace workshops, one-on-one sessions, as well as yoga classes that are always free or open to donations. All profits from the organization's programming go to providing discounted and free classes to underserved communities and to organizations serving these communities in and around the Washington, D.C. area. Rebecca's day job is working as the associate director of employer relations at Georgetown University. She earned her MBA at George Washington University, has her Certificate in Career Facilitation from the National Career Development Association and is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200).
