Join AMADC’s District Current for a happy hour and workshop* on personal branding. You’ll get the chance to connect with DC’s young professional community in a relaxed atmosphere and get tips on polishing your personal brand.

Kelly Miller, director at Banner Public Affairs and author of Get Attention: Brand Building for Startups, will lead interactive activities and share tools that inspire personal brand building. Whether you are just beginning to draft your bio or your personal website needs a tune-up, you’ll walk away with new insight on how to better communicate your experience, value, and personality.

About the Speaker

Kelly Miller
Director, Banner Public Affairs

Kelly Miller is a skilled communicator focusing on technology, cybersecurity, aerospace, and corporate communications. In her role at Banner, she helps clients continuously reach goals by supporting strategy, research, media outreach and content development. With an affinity for staying ahead of emerging technology and changing DC perceptions of the on-demand economy, Kelly approaches projects with a balance of traditional PR skills and more technical digital tactics that help clients navigate a variety of communication challenges, including issue advocacy, crisis communication and new product launches.

Prior to joining Banner, Kelly was a public affairs manager at CTIA, where she worked to elevate pro-wireless innovation policy and define the value of modern connectivity. Leveraging an intimate knowledge of Silicon-Valley trends and the tech legislation landscape, Kelly helped create engaging narratives and disseminated technical concepts to reach consumers and policy influencers. She has also worked on personal branding with entrepreneurs and leadership, concentrating on championing women in tech.

Kelly hails from Yellow Springs, Ohio and holds a B.A. in Communication from the University of Dayton.
