Make the one important connection! Join us for a special women's event that will offer attendees the opportunity to meet with a pool of over 50 mentors who are the most influential women in the DC community for one-on-one coaching sessions!


Join the Washington Business Journal on Monday, February 24th for this one-of-a-kind event that brings together women in a casual, fast-paced coaching atmosphere.

The event will take place in 43 Business Journal markets on the same day! This means at least 200+ women will be coached in every market or 10K women across America, from Albany to Hawaii.

The event will offer the opportunity to choose from 50 mentors who are the most influential women in the DC business community for one-on-one coaching sessions for seven minute conversations. The quick turnaround is organized chaos which will be fast, fun and fulfilling as everyone gets the chance to meet new people and gain new insights! The event begins with breakfast and networking, followed by our featured keynote speaker - and finally, our one-on-one speed coaching with our all-star cast of mentors who will be offering career advice, tips and guidance.

This year's featured keynote speaker is:

Deborah Rutter, President, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

Deborah is the first woman to head the Center, overseeing the center's operations in presenting theater, dance, music, awards, and the affiliated, National Symphony Orchestra and Washington National Opera.

In her first year at the Kennedy Center, Rutter broke ground on a transformative arts facility, the REACH, which provides flexible indoor and outdoor performance space to nurture new art, community, innovation, arts education, and informal encounters between the artist and the public.

Deborah will be speaking about Finding Your Passion and she will also be touching on the challenges & opportunities she faces as a woman leading one of the largest, busiest nonprofit performing arts centers in the world.

Tentative Agenda:

8:00 am-8:30 am: Networking and buffet breakfast
8:30 am-9:15 am: Featured Keynote Speaker
9:15 am-10:25 am: Speed coaching program begins. Including one-on-one sessions for 7 minutes each (approximately 9 rounds of mentoring)
10:25-10:30 am: Announce Raffle winners, Closing Comments
