Javiera is a Senior Manager of the Southeast Asia program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce where she focuses on building and strengthening private and public sector economic initiatives within that region.
She has spent most of her professional career in Washington D.C., where she worked at the Washington International Trade Association (WITA), including as Executive Director. There she led and grew the trade policy association, increasing membership benefits, policy programing and its presence within the diplomatic community and Capitol Hill.
In addition, Gallardo was a consultant within the trade department of the Embassy of Chile, and at the Coalition of Services Industries, where she helped to develop their first Global Services Summit. She has also volunteered as a trade capacity building and organizational development specialist for the International Executive Service Corps.
Gallardo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from George Mason University, graduate certificates from Cornell University and Johns Hopkins SAIS, and an MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
