Silvia Dumitrescu serves as Vice President, Communications for the International Food Information Council Foundation working with internal experts to raise awareness and understanding of food safety and nutrition from farm to fork. Formerly, Silvia was Global Strategist for the Center for Creative Economy, structuring and negotiating key partnerships with international organizations, corporate clients, and government agencies to promote the importance of science, technology, and innovation as economic development engines. She has expertise in stakeholder management, team building, marketing, and strategic communications.
Previously, Silvia was COO at DCBIA, the leading commercial real estate advocacy group in the Washington DC area, where she implemented strategic initiatives that increased corporate membership, and initiated organizational changes to stay competitive through diverse economic cycles. She also participated in the design and implementation of a highly successful business attraction and retention initiative for the District of Columbia government.
