Facebook is seeking a Strategic Intelligence Analyst to join the Security Team. The candidate will be responsible for helping Facebook continually understand and anticipate how the intersection of geopolitical dynamics and security risks impact Facebook, its users, subsidiaries and related customers. The candidate will work cross-functionally across the organization, and their analytic insights will be applied to make Facebook and its users more secure. The position will be in Washington, DC. The perfect candidate will have a multidisciplinary analytic background, with at least some experience in quantitative or technical fields and data-driven decision making. Candidates should possess a professional understanding of security risk and geopolitical issues. It is highly important candidates are focused on results, and are self-starters.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on the intersection of geopolitical and security risks as they apply to Facebook, its products, and its users
• Design, develop, and produce security risk assessments based on geopolitical, demographic, and social data points
• Investigate, mitigate, and forecast emerging threats and trends, and share learnings with relevant teams to aid in strategic planning and response
• Solicit requirements and feedback from internal Facebook stakeholders, and integrate accordingly
• Lead analytical and investigative projects from start-to-finish, to include effectively communicating actionable results to different audience types
• Manage multiple research projects at once while effectively prioritizing time
• Work cross-functionally with other Information Security stakeholders, Engineering, Communications, Public Policy, Legal, and Operations teams

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-college work in an analytical and problem-solving role
• Understanding the intersection of global security risks, and how they apply to Facebook and its users
• Ability to think critically and properly qualify assessments
• Proven track record of managing and executing on short term and long term projects
• Ability to set and manage expectations with key stakeholders and team members
• Ability to communicate and establish rapport with a global team
• Ability to prioritize and execute with minimal direction or oversight, with a proactive work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in political science, economics, international relations, or regional studies
• Deep-dive regional studies and language skills
• Experience with an Internet-based company
